Keanu Reeves Being Eyed For A Role In Marvel’s The Eternals

A while back, we were told that we came very, very close to having Keanu Reeves in the MCU. From what we understand, the actor was in talks for the role of Yon-Rogg in Captain Marvel, with reports saying that he was all set to sign on only for him to realize it’d cause scheduling conflicts with John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.

Given that the hit franchise been something of a passion project for Reeves, it’s understandable that he wouldn’t want to put the threequel’s production in jeopardy. Plus, while Yon-Rogg could be played by anyone, really, there’s only one John Wick. And so, Keanu and Marvel Studios went their separate ways, but with the actor seeing a bit of a resurgence in his career as of late, it looks like Kevin Feige and co. are still wanting to work with him. And we don’t blame them.

Now, the folks over at MCU Cosmic are reporting that Reeves is being eyed for a role in The Eternals, and though there’s been no official confirmation from the studio on this just yet, the aforementioned outlet is usually pretty on the ball with their intel.

According to MCU Cosmic, negotiations are already underway and though Reeves hasn’t officially signed on yet, we imagine it’ll be just a matter of time before we get an official announcement. After all, as we’ve seen with the cast that’s already been confirmed for The Eternals, Feige and his team are aiming high here and trying to bring on some A-list talent for the project.

Not to mention that Keanu Reeves is someone that fans have wanted to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for quite some time now and with The Eternals shaping up to be one of Phase 4’s biggest films, it’d make sense to to rope the John Wick star in for the pic.

Unfortunately, MCU Cosmic isn’t sure which role Reeves is up for, but tell us, who would you like to see him play in the movie? As always, you can sound off down below with your thoughts.
