Venom: Let There Be Carnage 360 Experience Puts You Inside Cletus Kasady’s Jail Cell

The folks at Sony apparently really want you to see what it’s like to inhabit the jail cell of a serial killer one day ahead of the release of their film Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

The Sony Pictures Entertainment official YouTube channel posted an immersive 360 video where you enter killer Cletus Kasaday’s jail cell as voice-over narration from Kasady and clips from the movie — or perhaps images from Kasady’s own demented psyche — play on the walls. Those hoping to catch Venom: Let There Be Carnage on opening night when it premieres in theaters in the U.S. tomorrow have been given a special request from the film’s official Twitter account that has fans scratching their heads.

But they tease to “check back tomorrow,” presumably with some kind of announcement about what the request was for in the first place. Halloween-Appropriate Fourth Game Coming To Some PlayStation Plus Markets

PlayStation Plus, the monthly subscription service of Playstation Network that allows users to gain access to a handful of games a month at no extra cost, disappointed some North American fans for its apparent lack of horror-themed titles to accompany October.

But while Hell Let Loose for PlayStation 5 and Mortal Kombat X and PGA Tour 2K21 for PS4 were announced as the official line up here in the United States for PlayStation Plus subscribers, it seems some international regions will be treated to a fourth, decidedly thematically appropriate title for Halloween, Castlevania Requiem, a compilation title of Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood.

Rocky IV is the 1985 Sylvester Stallone boxing movie that takes on a fairly epic scope when it comes to its geopolitical themes, rugged and emotionally-gut-punching onscreen boxing matches, and the sheer scale and number of its montages that absolutely epitomizes the decade like no other movie has.

The film pits Stallone’s Rocky Balboa of good ol’ USA with his most challenging opponent yet, the USSR’s enhanced super athlete Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren, in a movie whose message centers around world unity amid the Cold War.

A Forgotten Keanu Reeves Movie Has Just Hit Netflix

A Forgotten Keanu Reeves Movie Has Just Hit Netflix

A forgotten Keanu Reeves movie just hit Netflix today. This Thursday, September 30th saw 2018 romantic comedy-drama Destination Wedding become available to stream on the platform in the United States. Though this indie film didn’t make much of a splash at the box office at the time of its release, Netflix could be the perfect home for it as it sees Reeves star alongside Stranger Things actress Winona Ryder.

Fans of both actors were excited when the movie came out as it marked the first time Reeves and Ryder had worked together since they starred in 1990’s Bram Stoker’s Dracula. While that was a gothic horror, though, their second collaboration is of a totally different genre. Destination Wedding sees the pair star as Lindsey and Frank, two people who meet on a flight and immediately get on each others’ nerves – only to realize they are both heading to the same wedding in Paso Robles. Needless to say, their feelings for each other may start to change over the course of the event.

Halloween Kills Producer Explains Why Film Is Headed Straight to Streaming

Halloween Kills is the latest film to adopt the strategy of releasing in theaters and stream at the same time, slated for October 15. And while it may not be surprising considering the coronavirus pandemic and the delta variant is still impacting the globe, it’s still a fascinating case study for a studio willing to adapt its release schedule to better fit the times we live in.

As detailed in an interview with Collider, Blumhouse CEO Jason Blum actually revealed it was his idea to have the simultaneous release both in theaters and streaming on Peacock, saying it was inspired by the tumultuous rollout of the critically acclaimed, but sadly underperforming horror-comedy Freaky in November 2020.

Watch: First Teaser of Hideaki Anno’s Shin Kamen Rider Movie

Hideaki Anno, the director best known for the 90’s mecha series Neon Genesis Evangelion continues his streak of Shin films of classic Japanese media. Following Shin Godzilla (2016), Shin Evangelion (2021), and the forthcoming Shin Ultraman, the director will write and direct Shin Kamen Rider.

The project was announced earlier this year, but a new teaser trailer released earlier today gives us our first look at the eponymous hero and their motorbike, which looks to be Cyclone, the bike of the first Kamen Rider Takeshi Hongo. The trailer recreates much of the original show’s opening with a fittingly retro aesthetic in both costuming and filmography. It’s even set to the same theme, “Let’s Go!! Rider Kick.” The trailer ends with a look at Man Spider, who appears to be the film’s main antagonist.

Andy Serkis Reveals What He Wants To Explore In Venom 3

Andy Serkis Reveals What He Wants To Explore In Venom 3

Every Spider-Man fan wants to see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock face off, it’s only natural. But the folks behind the Venom movies seem keen to stress that there’s plenty more to explore in the symbiote’s corner of the Marvel universe besides a clash with the webhead. Case in point, Venom: Let There Be Carnage features Brock battling his nemesis, Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) AKA Carnage.

And director Andy Serkis is teasing that there are many more crazed and dangerous foes where Kasady came from, literally. While speaking with ScreenRant, the actor and filmmaker—who replaced Ruben Fleischer in the director’s chair for the incoming sequel—explained that he’s aware of all the clamoring for a Spidey crossover, but what he really wants to see in Venom 3 is some more supervillains escaping from Ravencroft.

Sam Raimi Explains Why He Made Another Superhero Movie After Spider-Man 3 Backlash

Sam Raimi Explains Why He Made Another Superhero Movie After Spider-Man 3 Backlash

Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 isn’t a great movie, but it might not be as bad as the internet has led everyone to believe over the course of the last 13 years. Obviously, it’s nowhere close to sitting on the same pedestal as the first two installments, and it’s got a whole lot of major problems. But there’s some good stuff in there.

Let’s not forget that the director had one arm tied behind his back after Sony made the call to shoehorn Venom into a plot that was already at its bursting point with Peter and Mary Jane’s will-they-won’t-they, the introduction of Gwen Stacy, Harry Osborn following in his father’s footsteps, and Sandman’s arc being tied to Uncle Ben for whatever reason. Although that still doesn’t excuse the godawful dancing sequences.

Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer Reportedly On The Way For Later This Year

Grand Theft Auto 6 Trailer Reportedly On The Way For Later This Year

It’s been eight long years since the latest Grand Theft Auto title, Grand Theft Auto 5, and new versions of the game are still being released on next-gen consoles. But a new rumor has surfaced regarding the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 which indicates a reveal trailer for the game may be coming as soon as this year.

The rumor comes from a post on the news and media Instagram account ThatsSoBold, which has no track record at all of reliably reporting on leaks of this nature. Rockstar, the studio which develops Grand Theft Auto, has not confirmed it either, so feel free to take this rumor with a massive grain of salt.

The post, which can be viewed below, suggests the game will take place in Miami and feature hurricanes and gators as well as a map three times the size of Grand Theft Auto 5. The map would supposedly change over time, similar to games like Fortnite or Call of Duty: Warzone. Additionally, the post indicates a new trailer will debut sometime between November and December of this year, which, if the game follows the pattern of previous Rockstar games, would likely mean a fall 2023 release date.

Star Wars Fans Are Debating What Real-Life Weapon Would Make For The Best New Blaster

Star Wars may be a fantasy universe set in a galaxy far far away, but many aspects of the extremely successful film series are inspired by things much closer to home. The aesthetic of the Star Wars universe may appear quite foreign and space-aged, but when you get down to specific items their real-life situation peers through.

Whether it be the clear Samurai influence, the Senate structure, or even Darth Vader’s helmet, connections can be found to times and items throughout history. This is much clearer for the weapons of Star Wars which most of are based on real weapons of the past.
