The Harry Potter franchise continues to overwhelm all other conversations in the fantasy sphere as reactions to HBO’s fresh attempt at J.K. Rowling’s book series refuse to die down.

News of Warner Bros.’ intent to also produce a new Wizarding World video game is likewise prompting criticism, as people decry the decision to enrich Rowling — a known transphobe — even more. That’s not even to mention that the game in question — shaped around Quidditch — leans on a feature that really should have been included in the last Harry Potter game: Hogwarts Legacy. It seems that Warner Bros. may have thoroughly lost touch with what the diminishing Harry Potter fandom wants, and that’s bad news for remaining fans as they look ahead to a slew of fresh attempts to bring the Wizarding World back to prominence.
